A public university in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Painter to perform professional painting and wall repair services at its libraries. The role involves maintenance to create welcoming environments for students, faculty, and staff. Candidates should have journeyman-level experience and knowledge of wall repair. This temporary position offers a competitive hourly pay and benefits for eligible employees.
The Operations, Logistics, & Environments (OLE) department provides building maintenance, operational support, resource management, and event/exhibit assistance for the D. H. Hill Jr. Library, James B. Hunt Jr. Library, and Administrative Services Annex (ASX), with some services extended to the three branch libraries (Design, Natural Resources, and Veterinary Medicine). Collectively, these library spaces welcome over 2.1 million visitors per year, and OLE staff ensure they are always clean, safe, and well maintained.
The primary purpose of this position is to perform professional painting and wall repair services at Hill and Hunt Libraries. This includes touch-up painting, surface preparation, and patching of walls to maintain a clean, well-kept, and visually cohesive environment that supports the Libraries’ commitment to providing welcoming and functional spaces for students, faculty, and staff.
