Job summary

Westmor Industries is seeking a detail-oriented Painter to transform raw materials into finished, high-quality products. You will prepare surfaces, apply coatings, and ensure finishes meet company standards in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role emphasizes proper prep, accurate paint application, and maintaining a clean, organized paint booth while completing production and quality paperwork. Prior automotive or industrial painting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: Remove rust, spatter, oils, and cutting fluids through sanding, cleaning, and wiping down steel components.
• Paint Application: Apply coatings to production parts and sub-assemblies using proper techniques to achieve smooth, even finishes.
• Equipment Operation & Care: Mix paints to correct specifications, set up and adjust spray equipment, and perform daily maintenance on painting tools and booths.
• Quality Assurance: Mask off non-paint areas, inspect completed work for defects such as runs or missed spots, and ensure all finishes meet company standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized paint booth and complete required production and quality paperwork.

As a Painter, you'll play a key role in preparing and finishing metal components used in our production process. You'll ensure every surface meets our quality standards through proper preparation, accurate paint application, and consistent attention to detail. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing clean, professional finishes.

Key Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation
  • Remove rust, spatter, oils, and cutting fluids through sanding, cleaning, and wiping down steel components.
• Paint Application

Compensation

• The starting pay range for this position is $20-$24 per hour. Final compensation will depend on various factors including: skills, experience, and location.

Day Shift

• Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
