Performs interior and exterior painting and refinishing duties according to standard procedures, as well as duties of Facilities Technician as needed.

Minimum qualifications:

1. High school education or equivalent.
2. One year painting experience in a commercial or residential application. Healthcare experience preferred.
3. Ability to read and follow written assignments, manufacturer's directions, and colorant charts.
4. Knowledge of painting techniques, uses of paints and other surface coating materials (i.e., oils, bases, varnishes, etc.), usually acquired through vocational training.
5. Skill in using equipment and materials for performing moderately complex, multi-step painting procedures.
6. Ability to exercise judgment in selecting proper equipment, supplies, and methods of application.
7. Interpersonal skills to discuss work procedures with employees in other departments.
8. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to details while preparing surfaces and mixing paints.
9. Visual ability to distinguish between closely matched colors.
