Job summary

Elite Business Resources, LLC is seeking a dependable Coating & Application Service Technician to perform industrial coating and insulation work in field environments, following safety procedures, operating brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and power tools as required.

You will prepare surfaces, mix and apply coatings, install insulation, measure and cut materials, and assist crew with project tasks while maintaining a clean, safe worksite and documenting progress to supervisors.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Coating & Application Service Technician to perform industrial coating and application services while assisting with insulation installation and general labor duties as needed. This is a hands-on position requiring the ability to work in industrial and construction environments, follow safety procedures, operate tools and equipment, and perform physically demanding work.

The ideal candidate is reliable, mechanically inclined, willing to learn, and comfortable performing a variety of field duties based on project needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for coating applications by cleaning, scraping, sanding, grinding, masking, or other approved preparation methods.
• Mix, prepare, and apply industrial coatings, sealants, protective materials, and related products according to manufacturer and project specifications.
• Operate brushes, rollers, spray equipment, power tools, and other coating/application equipment.
• Assist with the installation, removal, repair, and maintenance of industrial insulation.
• Measure and cut insulation materials to properly fit pipes, equipment, tanks, ductwork, and other surfaces.
• Perform general labor duties, including material handling, loading and unloading equipment, job-site cleanup, and moving tools and supplies.
• Assist skilled technicians and other crew members with project-related tasks.
• Set up and break down work areas, equipment, containment systems, and materials.
• Inspect completed work and report defects, damage, or areas requiring additional attention.
• Properly clean, maintain, and store tools, equipment, and PPE.
• Follow company policies, OSHA requirements, site-specific safety procedures, and customer safety regulations.
• Wear required personal protective equipment at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Complete job documentation and communicate project progress or concerns to supervisors.
• Perform additional coating, insulation, maintenance, or general labor duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent physical activity. Employees must be able to:

• Lift and carry approximately 50 pounds regularly.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, crouch, reach, and climb for extended periods.
• Work from ladders, scaffolding, or elevated work areas when properly trained and authorized.
• Perform repetitive movements using hands, arms, and shoulders.
• Work in hot, cold, dusty, noisy, or outdoor environments.
• Wear respirators and other required PPE when applicable and medically cleared.
