Painter (Construction)
Nature and Scope:
We are looking for a skilled painter to paint the interior and exterior of structures, buildings, and other surfaces.
Minimum eligibility requirements
- Relevant work experience (2+ years preferred).
- Excellent knowledge of painting materials and techniques, including selection, mixing, and application.
- Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques.
- Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns, etc.).
- Excellent basic math skills.
- Manual dexterity and good balance to work on scaffolding, ladders, etc.
- Conscientious with great attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
- Must be honest, fair, dependable, and respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
- Ability to practice and promote the company's Policies and Procedures, Mission Statement, Core Values, and Founding Principles.
- Must have a valid driver license.
- Must meet all health requirements.
- Must pass criminal background check.
- Ability to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodation.
Essential functions
Maintenance
- Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures, etc.
- Prepare walls and surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, removing old paint, etc.
- Fill cracks and holes with appropriate materials (e.g., plaster).
- Mix paint and other materials to achieve the right color or texture.
- Paint surfaces according to instructions using various tools.
- Apply varnish and other finishes.
- Calculate costs.
Customer service
- Ensure all employees provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Perform job duties for residents and team members courteously and professionally.
- Take initiative to prioritize resident safety and satisfaction.
- Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner, including residents’ families, prospective residents, referral sources, vendors, and regulators.
