Job summary

Merakey is seeking a Painter to join our team in the Harrisburg, PA area. The role involves painting, staining and varnishing with brushes and rollers, surface prep, repairs, and occasional wallpaper hanging. You will move about job sites, climb ladders, and lift up to 20 pounds to complete tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license (preferred own transportation).
• High School diploma/G.E.D. required.
• Knowledge of surface preparation and finishing.
• Ability to move around sites and lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Paint, stain & varnish using brushes/rollers.
• Clean, sand, sandblast, scrape, and brush prep.
• Repair surfaces to be painted incl. plaster and Sheetrock finishing.
• Erect scaffolding and rigging to access areas; move furniture/equipment as needed.
• Mix and match paint; requisition materials from stockroom.
• Waterproofing; set glass & putty.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsibilities include:

• Paint, stain & varnish using brushes/rollers
• Cleaning, sanding, sandblasts, scraping, brushing to prepare for painting.
• Repairs surfaces to be painted including plastering & Sheetrock finishing.
• Erects Scaffolding, movable & immovable staging & various rigging to gain access to difficult areas; May have to move furniture & equipment as necessary.
• Mixing & matching Paint.
• Requisitions materials & supplies from Stockroom.
• Waterproofing.
• Sets Glass & Applies Putty.
• Occasionally may hang wallpaper.

Earn $21.50/hour in this position with the option of an additional $2/hour with the selection of enhanced pay.
