Job summary

SP Plus Corporation in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an experienced painter to apply finishes to floors, walls, doors, and cabinets. You will prep surfaces, choose appropriate paints, and ensure protected work areas while delivering timely results.

Responsibilities include spray painting for large jobs, ladder work when necessary, and maintaining clean tools. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, and paid time off; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of commercial painting experience.
• Must be detail oriented and able to complete jobs timely.
• Must hold a valid state driver's license with current address.

Responsibilities

• Apply paint to floors, curbs, walls, doors and cabinets as required.
• Mix and apply paint, varnish, enamel, and other finishes.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, and priming as needed.
• Protect surfaces with cloth or plastic and cover areas to prevent damage.
• Fill cracks and joints with caulk or putty using appropriate tools.
• Operate a spray gun for large projects and climb ladders when required.
• Clean tools and equipment after job completion.

Responsibilities

• Apply paint to surfaces including floors, curbs, bollards, walls, doors, cabinets, etc.
• Mix, match and apply paint, varnish, shellac, enamel and other finishes to surfaces
• Clean, scrape, prime or seal surfaces prior to painting
• Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection
• Fill cracks, holes and joints with caulk, putty plaster or other fillers using caulk gun or putty knife
• Use a spray gun for large jobs
• Climb ladders to reach high ceilings or walls when necessary
• Clean up all equipment including brushes and spray guns upon completion of job

Qualifications

• High school Diploma/GED
• At least I year of commercial painting experience required. Striping experience is a plus
• Must be able to complete jobs timely and be detail oriented
• Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license with a current address and an acceptable driving record

Salary Range: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
