Job summary

SP+ in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a part-time Painter to apply paint to surfaces, prepare areas, and ensure a clean job site. You will mix finishes, protect surrounding areas, and assist with preparation and cleanup.

Requires basic painting experience, a valid driver’s license, and attention to detail. The role offers flexible hours and benefits as part of SP+'s employee programs within a growing parking network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of commercial painting experience.
• Striping experience is a plus.
• Detail oriented and timely in completing jobs.
• Valid state driver’s license with current address and clean record.

Responsibilities

• Apply paint to surfaces including floors, curbs, walls, doors, cabinets.
• Mix and apply finishes such as paint, varnish, enamel and shellac.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, priming or sealing.
• Protect areas with coverings to prevent messes.
• Fill cracks and joints with caulk or putty.
• Use a spray gun for large jobs.
• Climb ladders to reach high ceilings or walls.
• Clean up brushes and spray guns after completion.

Responsibilities

• Apply paint to surfaces including floors, curbs, bollards, walls, doors, cabinets, etc.
• Mix, match and apply paint, varnish, shellac, enamel and other finishes to surfaces
• Clean, scrape, prime or seal surfaces prior to painting
• Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection
• Fill cracks, holes and joints with caulk, putty plaster or other fillers using caulk gun or putty knife
• Use a spray gun for large jobs
• Climb ladders to reach high ceilings or walls when necessary
• Clean up all equipment including brushes and spray guns upon completion of job

Qualifications

• High school Diploma/GED
• At least I year of commercial painting experience required. Striping experience is a plus
• Must be able to complete jobs timely and be detail oriented
• Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license with a current address and an acceptable driving record

Salary Range: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
