Job summary

ServiceMaster by McCann is seeking a Painter to provide residential or commercial restoration painting services. Responsibilities include surface preparation, priming, and applying paints or finishes to meet project specs.

The role involves scaffolding setup, masking, cleanup, and adherence to safety rules. Starting wage is $22.00 per hour with weekly pay, PTO accrual, holiday pay, and a company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• Experience painting residential or commercial surfaces.
• Ability to prepare surfaces by washing, filling holes and sanding.
• Knowledge of primer and sealers to ensure paint adhesion.
• Ability to mix and match paints, stains and finishes to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assemble scaffolding as required.
• Mask off trim, floors, furniture and surfaces to protect from paint.
• Prepare surfaces by washing, filling holes, sanding; ensure smooth finish.
• Apply primer and sealers for paint adhesion.
• Mix and match paints, stains and finishes per specs.
• Apply paint, stain, or finishes with brushes, rollers or sprayers.
• Maintain supplies like brushes, rollers and tarps.
• Clean machines and work areas; follow safety rules and regulations.
• Review and implement work orders and assignments.
• Remove and reinstall fixtures as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties of aPainter is being responsible for providing residential or commercial repairs in a timely manner. Our line of work is the final piece of the restoration process after a property has been affected by some disaster. All paint, supplies, equipment, vehicle, and project direction is company provided. The duties of a Painter may also be responsible for installing walls, flooring, ceilings, trim, finish work, with a main focus on painting. Our line of work is the final piece of the restoration process after a property has been affected by some disaster.

• Assembling scaffolding as required
• Covering trim, floors, furniture and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep them free of paint
• Preparing surfaces to be painted by washing them, filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding them until they’re smooth
• Applying primer and other sealers to paint surfaces to ensure that paint sticks to them
• Mixing and matching paint, stain and other finishes to job specifications
• Applying paint, stain and other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers or sprayers
• Maintaining an inventory of supplies like paint brushes, rollers and tarps
• Cleaning machines, equipment and work areas using water, solvents and other cleaning aids
• Reviewing and implementing work orders and assignments
• Removing and reinstalling fixtures (e.g., doorknobs, electric switch covers) as necessary
• Following safeguards, rules and regulations
