Job summary

Friendship Village STL is seeking a skilled Painter for full-time work in St. Louis. The role covers painting resident apartments, common areas, refurbishments, and related prep work.

You will prepare surfaces, mix paints, and ensure high-quality finishes while maintaining safety and cleanliness on site. This position requires at least five years of commercial or residential painting experience and a strong knowledge of materials, techniques, and tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Minimum of five years of commercial or residential painting experience.
• Demonstrated experience as a professional painter.
• Strong knowledge of painting materials, finishes, and application techniques.
• Ability to properly select, mix, and apply paints and coatings.
• Proficiency with painting tools, including brushes, rollers, caulking guns, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Paint resident apartments, common areas, refurbishments, and other assigned areas.
• Prepare surfaces for painting, including patching, sanding, caulking, and other necessary preparation.
• Mix, match, and apply paint and other coatings according to project requirements.
• Complete touch-up painting and repair work as needed.
• Operate painting tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout each project.
• Coordinate larger painting projects with supervisors and other Facilities Services team members.
• Identify and report maintenance or repair concerns discovered during painting projects.
• Follow all safety procedures and community standards.

Painter Responsibilities
