Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is seeking a talented Painter to join its Facilities Division. This key role involves preparing surfaces and applying paint to support ongoing scientific operations and maintenance activities. Candidates should possess journey-level painting experience and a valid California Driver's license.
Lawrence Berkeley National Lab’s ( LBNL ) Facilities Division has an opening for a Painter to join the team.
As a member of the LBNL’s Facilities Division, you will be an integral part of our specialized Painter team, supporting the Lab’s ongoing scientific experiments, as well as day to day operations. In this exciting role, you will prepare surfaces by priming, cleaning, scraping, sanding, sealing and water blasting, in the support of construction and maintenance activities.
You will also perform paint applications which include: matching colors utilizing a tinting machine, applying paint colors, oils, etc., to obtain proper color or consistency. As a Painter, you will use brushes, rollers, spray equipment to apply paints, varnishes, epoxies and other paint-like substances to interior/exterior building structures, utilities, equipment, cabinet / furniture.
Perform all work safely and comply with LBNL and DOE (Department of Energy) safety policies. Have the ability to communicate and interact with a variety of staff in a diverse work environment.
