Qualdoc is seeking an experienced Painter in Ashland, VA to prepare and paint overhead cranes and components using industrial coatings. The role requires handling airless spray systems and working safely in a heavy industrial environment.

Shifts are 2nd, with 10-hour days and occasional Saturdays. Compensation starts at $24.00 per hour, with higher rates based on experience. Full-time benefits are available after eligibility.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Painter to prepare and paint overhead cranes and manufactured components using a variety of industrial coating systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial painting processes, airless spray systems, and working safely in a heavy industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work areas prior to painting operations.
• Prepare components for painting, including blowing off surfaces, taping, and masking.
• Apply industrial coatings using airless spray systems.
• Work with industrial paint systems including:
  • Enamel
  • Zinc
  • Epoxy
  • Urethane
• Measure coating thickness using dry and wet film gauges.
• Maintain quality standards and safe work practices.
• Report to work on time and maintain reliable attendance.
• Work 10-hour shifts and Saturdays as required.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.

Employment Details

• Potential temp-to-hire opportunity after 90 days.
• $1.00/hour shift differential available upon becoming a full-time employee.
