Job summary

Production Castings, Inc. is hiring a dependable Paint Utility for our manufacturing operation. 4-day workweek with Fridays off, Monday–Thursday 5:30 AM–4:00 PM. No prior paint department experience required; training provided to help you succeed.

Responsibilities include preparing castings for painting, loading paint racks, assisting with line changeovers, and ensuring materials move efficiently. This is a hands-on production role with PPE and safety guidelines emphasized.

  • Load and unload wet paint racks safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with paint line setups and rack changeovers.
  • Operate and monitor the burn-off oven following established procedures.
  • Package finished painted products according to customer requirements.
  • Move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products throughout the department.
  • Visually inspect parts before and after painting for defects or quality concerns.
  • Assist painters, paint inspectors, and other team members to keep production moving.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, and other material-handling equipment after proper training.

$19.00–$21.00 per hour, based on experience Production Castings, Inc. is hiring a dependable Paint Utility team member for our manufacturing operation.

Enjoy a consistent 4-day workweek with Fridays off!

Previous paint department experience is not required. If you're dependable, comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, and willing to learn, we'll provide the training you need to be successful.

This is a hands‑on production position supporting our paint department by preparing parts, loading and unloading paint racks, assisting with paint line changeovers, packaging finished products, and keeping materials moving efficiently through production.

Schedule & Pay
1st Shift – 4-Day Work Week

Monday–Thursday | 5:30 AM–4:00 PM

What You'll Do
  • Prepare castings and components for painting, including cleaning, masking, hanging, and staging parts.
  • Load and unload wet paint racks safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with paint line setups and rack changeovers.
  • Operate and monitor the burn‑off oven following established procedures.
  • Package finished painted products according to customer requirements.
  • Move raw materials, work‑in‑process, and finished products throughout the department.
  • Visually inspect parts before and after painting for obvious defects or quality concerns.
  • Assist Painters, Paint Inspectors, and other team members to keep production moving.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, and other material‑handling equipment after proper training and authorization.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas using established 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Follow company safety procedures, environmental requirements, and PPE guidelines.
  • Assist in other production areas when needed.

Physical Requirements

This is an active manufacturing position that requires:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials weighing up to 40 pounds independently.
  • Performing repetitive production tasks using hands, wrists, and arms.
  • Working around manufacturing equipment, noise, dust, varying temperatures, paint fumes, and chemicals.
  • Wearing required PPE, including a respirator when necessary.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or adjusted schedules when production needs require.
