Job summary

Bonnell Aluminum is seeking a detail-oriented individual for the Night Shift Paint Line Prep Crew in the Paint department. This role prepares aluminum components for painting, requiring careful surface cleaning, material handling, and adherence to safety procedures.

The position operates on a 5 PM–5 AM rotating schedule with off every other weekend. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, able to work independently or with a team, and committed to quality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
  • Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

  • Clean surfaces using solvents or cleaners to remove residues.
  • Remove scrap and replace filters and PPE components as needed.
  • Handle and transport aluminum extrusions on carts or conveyors.
  • Organize extrusions for painting according to schedules.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear PPE at all times.
  • Collaborate with team to meet production targets.

JOB TITLE: Entry LevelPrep-crew (Nightshift)

REPORTS TO: Department Manager with direction from Team Leader

SHIFT/HOURS: 5 PM- 5 AM/12-hour(Rotating Shift)/ Off Every other weekend

STARTING PAY: $23.50/hour, with the ability to earn more.

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our Night Shift Paint Line Prep Crew for our Paint department. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for preparing aluminum components for the painting process, ensuring that all products meet our high-quality standards. This position requires working the night shift, must not be afraid of height and tight spaces. This position allows for a unique work-life balance and the opportunity to join a dynamic team that values hard work and commitment. As part of the paint line prep crew, you will gain hands‑on experience in the manufacturing process. We are looking for individuals who are motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team and have a keen eye for detail.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONIBLE FOR:
  • Clean surfaces using solvents, degreasers, or other cleaning agents to remove dirt, oil grease, and other residues.

  • Remove all scrap plastic and paper, remove, and replace socks on pod, remove and replace flat and sock filters in booths and air supply.

  • Handle and transport aluminum extrusions using carts, racks, or conveyors.

  • Organize and stage extrusions in preparation for the painting process, following production schedules and priorities.

  • Always adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices.

  • Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes and achieve production targets.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/ PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/ or move up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job included close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the qualifications, knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Physical ability to lift and move materials.Not afraid if heights.
