Job summary

Protomet Corporation in Loudon, TN is seeking a Paint Team Member to apply and inspect powder coat and wet paint finishes on Protomet parts. You will operate finishing equipment, follow documented work instructions, and maintain safety and quality standards.

You will develop proficiency across surface prep, masking, coating, inspection, and material handling while supporting continuous improvement to standardize processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience with finishing operations (powder coat or wet paint) is preferred.
• Demonstrated attention to safety and quality in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Hang parts for powder coat and wet paint processing.
• Blow off, clean, and mask parts prior to coating application.
• Prepare surfaces through sanding, cleaning, and minor repair of blemishes.
• Operate powder coat application equipment and maintain booth operation.
• Apply wet paint finishes according to instructions and quality standards.
• Inspect coated and painted parts for coverage, appearance, adhesion, and quality.
• Load completed parts into containers and staging locations.
• Grind and finish parts requiring surface preparation or smoothing.
• Cross-train and maintain proficiency in finishing processes across powder coat and wet paint.
• Assist in continuous improvement to standardize finishing processes and improve quality, efficiency, and safety.
