Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Refinish Prepper in Louisville, KY. The role offers industry-leading compensation, benefits, and ongoing training. Qualifications

• Experience in surface preparation, masking, priming, and refinishing of vehicles.
• Ability to apply primers, sealers, basecoats, color coats, and clear coats.
• Experience evaluating bodywork to ensure high-quality paint jobs.
• Familiarity with insurance guidelines and collision repair standards.
• Willingness to participate in I-CAR and industry training programs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for refinishing in accordance with insurance guidelines.
• Sand, mask, prime, and apply basecoat and clearcoat.
• Evaluate bodywork to ensure quality finish.
• Support restoration of anti-corrosion treatments and substrate identification.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
