Job summary

Dakota Bodies in Watertown, SD is seeking a Paint Prep/Wash/Caulking specialist to prepare products for painting by washing, masking, sanding and caulking per instructions. You will move products to the paint booth and ensure taped areas are prepped for finishing. A candidate must be 18+ with a HS diploma or GED; technical education courses are preferred. Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalence.
• Preferred: Technical education courses, post secondary institutions, such as vocational and technical institutes, community colleges, and/or training through the U.S. Armed Forces.

Responsibilities

• Wash, mask, sand, and caulk product per instructions to prepare for painting.
• Move product to the paint booth and ensure proper handling.
• Remove tape and paper after product is completely dry and maintain a clean, safe area.
• Overtime may be required, including extended hours and weekends.

A successful candidate is a self-motivated multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all painting quality levels are met.

• Able to work overtime as needed, including extended hours and weekends
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Incumbent will follow other job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties from time to time if requested by management.

1st shift starting pay - $18 per hour

2nd shift starting pay - $20 per hour

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

May be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs regularly. Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling and/or standing. Must wear ASTM 2413 Steel-Toe/Composite-Toe footwear, ear plugs, safety glasses, goggles, masks with protective lenses, and any other required equipment to prevent burns, eye injuries, and injury from falling objects.
