Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is hiring a Body Shop Prep Technician II to prepare vehicles for refinish and re-assembly. The role supports our nationwide network of commercial vehicle dealerships and offers growth within a leading transportation company.

Responsibilities

  • Review each repair order, work order, and estimator’s notes to understand repairs needed prior to beginning work on the vehicle.
  • All repairs must be completed according to the documentation on the repair order, estimate, or supplement.
  • Review the daily paint list with the paint technician.
  • Perform all paint preparation and refinish procedures according to factory specifications and company policy.
  • Review work order and initial all completed refinish items.
  • Perform and sign off on quality check.

The Body Shop Prep Technician II prepare all assigned vehicles for the refinish and re-assembly process.

Basic Qualifications and Attributes
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum of 6 to 12 months related work experience in a similar position.
  • Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.
  • Proficiency with related hardware/software systems as needed to fully execute the duties required.
