Westmor Industries is seeking a detail-oriented Paint Prep Technician to support our production team in Morris, MN. The role emphasizes high-quality finishes, precise measurement, and organized workflow to keep the paint operation running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Surface preparation: sand surfaces using an air sander, apply sand poly and primer, verify removal of spatter and slag, apply filler to achieve a smooth, paint-ready finish.
• Measurement and documentation: measure pre- and post-sand dry mill thickness, record measurements using proper devices, complete all required paperwork accurately.
• Equipment maintenance: perform daily maintenance on paint prep equipment, clean paint booths and lights, change filters as needed, keep the paint prep area organized and production-ready.
• Safety and operation: identify and mask areas not designated for paint, safely operate tuggers, lifts, and other machinery, wear proper PPE and follow all safety procedures.
• Coordination and organization: coordinate workflow with team members, maintain a clean, orderly, and efficient work area.

Compensation

The starting pay range for this position is $18 - $22 per hour. Final compensation will depend on various factors including skills, experience, and location.

Day Shift: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Mon - Fri
