Focus in Terrell, Texas seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations and lead front-line employees to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality output. You will report to the Production Superintendent and execute production plans while maintaining workflow efficiency.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong Lean knowledge, SAP experience, and a proven record of achieving safety, quality, and delivery targets in a high-volume, high-mix metal fabrication

Qualificações

• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Supervisory experience in high-volume, high-mix environment preferred.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and continuous improvement experience.
• Experience with SAP or production reporting systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery and productivity targets.
• Execute production schedules as directed by the Production Superintendent.
• Monitor workflow, staffing levels and equipment utilization for efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote safe work practices.
• Maintain quality by monitoring output and addressing defects or deviations.
• Identify issues and escalate to the Production Superintendent as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and waste reduction efforts.
• Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Engineering and Maintenance to resolve challenges.
• Train and develop hourly employees to improve performance and engagement.
• Manage attendance, timekeeping, job assignments and shift coverage.
• Conduct performance discussions and input on disciplinary actions and development.
• Maintain accurate production reports and documentation.
• Enforce policies and procedures consistently.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations and leading front-line production employees to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality output. This role reports directly to the Production Superintendent and is accountable for executing production plans, maintaining workflow efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The Supervisor provides hands-on leadership on the production floor and ensures adherence to company policies, safety standards, and quality expectations. This role is accountable for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and team development within a high-volume, high-mix metal fabrication environment.

Essential Functions

1. Supervise daily production activities to ensure achievement of safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
2. Execute production schedules as directed by the Production Superintendent.
3. Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and equipment utilization to maintain operational efficiency.
4. Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a culture of accountability and safe work practices.
5. Maintain quality standards by monitoring production output and addressing defects or process deviations.
6. Identify production issues and **escalate** concerns to the Production Superintendent as needed.
7. Support continuous improvement initiatives, including waste reduction, process improvements, and efficiency gains.
8. Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to resolve operational challenges.
9. Train, coach, and develop hourly employees to improve performance and engagement.
10. Manage attendance, timekeeping, job assignments, and shift coverage.
11. Conduct performance discussions and provide input on disciplinary actions and employee development.
12. Maintain accurate production reports and documentation.
13. Ensure policies and procedures are consistently enforced.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

1. Direct supervision of hourly production employees.
2. Assign daily work tasks and monitor team performance.
3. Provide performance feedback and development recommendations to the Production Superintendent.

Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree is a plus.
2. Minimum of three (3) years of manufacturing experience required.
3. Prior supervisory experience in a high-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment preferred.
4. Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
5. Experience with production reporting systems (SAP preferred).
6. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
7. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
