Job summary

The Paint Operator - Upright Line - Induction on the 2nd shift at stow Group in Adairsville, GA, operates powder coating equipment and oversees the electrostatic paint booth, curing ovens, and color changes to meet customer specifications.

You’ll maintain surface prep routines, check coating thickness, inspect finished parts, and perform routine maintenance while observing safety rules on a tobacco-free campus with generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial painting or powder coating experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with spray equipment, safety protocols, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Operate upright induction painter/booth to apply powder to parts on a conveyor line.
• Adjust booth settings, air pressure, spray guns and oven temperatures.
• Inspect parts for coating thickness and quality.
• Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot paint booths, hoppers, and guns.
• Perform efficient color changes and powder thickness checks.

The upright induction Painter/Operator applies specialized dry paint powder to steel uprights, prepping surfaces, operating paint booth, and curing items in ovens. They managecolourchanges, ensure proper thickness and adhesion,maintainequipment, and inspect finished products for quality. Key skills include manual dexterity, attention to detail, and safety compliance.

Surface Preparation:Maintainpre-treatment degreaser, rinsing, and phosphating tanks priorpowdercoating process.

Application:Operateelectrostatic paint booth to apply powder uniformly to parts on a conveyor line.

Equipment Operation:Adjust booth settings, air pressure, spray guns, and oven temperatures.

Quality Control:Inspect parts before and after painting for defects, ensuring proper coating thickness (mil thickness).

Maintenance & Cleanliness:Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot paint booths, hoppers, and spray guns.

Color Changes:Perform efficient changeovers of powder types and colors.

Responsible for the powder thickness and color requested by the customer.

Responsible for the pre-treatment and parameters on induction coils.

Qualifications

Experience:Previousexperience in industrial painting or powder coating is oftenrequired.

Education:High school diploma or equivalentgenerally required.
