Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, Land Pride division, is seeking a 1st Shift Painter at the Lucas Facility in Lucas, KS. The Paint Operator works Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays as required.

You will load paint lines, prep parts, and ensure proper part identification and delivery to maintain inventory accuracy. This role emphasizes quality painting, safe handling of parts up to 50 lbs, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous paint experience helpful, but not required.
• Ability to lift, carry and position parts weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Forklift license and experience handling large parts is helpful.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with AS400 is helpful.
• Ability to follow inventory control procedures.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Load Paint lines safely to its maximum capacity per the Daily Production Requirements list.
• Learn all aspects of prepping unfinished parts for final topcoat.
• Download painted parts safely & ensure correct part identification and delivery to correct location to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Inspecting painted parts at the unload station for any quality defects.
• Appropriately packing painted parts to ensure arrival to customer in good condition.
• Versatile employee able to learn all aspects of Paint line duties, Load, Prep, Unload, Material Handling & Painting.
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.

Land Pride, a Division of Great Plains Mfg, currently has an opening for a 1st Shift Painter in our Lucas Facility .

The hours for this position are Monday-Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (overtime on Fridays as required).
