Job summary

Caterpillar seeks a Senior Manufacturing Support in Paint at our Sanford, NC site to develop standard work, routings, and value stream maps for fabrication processes. You will use NextGen for purchasing, create POs, and analyze time studies while collaborating with engineers and vendors to improve PQVC metrics and fabricate layouts with AutoCAD.

As an 18‑month development assignment, you will return to your prior role after completion and gain cross‑functional exposure in a dynamic manufacturing

Qualifications

• Experience using MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, and Power BI.
• Knowledge of the Caterpillar Fabrications processes.
• Experience using PinPoint, NextGen, AutoCAD, and Geneo.

Responsibilities

• Learn to navigate & create, update, and maintain standard work, detailed routings, and value stream maps for factory fabrications processes.
• Learn to navigate and utilize NextGen system to create purchase requisitions, execute purchase orders, and invoice material.
• Learn to conduct & analyze time studies.
• Learn to balance work & distribute work across assets.
• Work with internal team members & external vendors to lead projects to improve PQVC metrics.
• Learn to utilize AutoCAD to create facility layouts for project bids.
• Development new process flows for the Fabrications Quality department.
• Communicate with Engineers and Managers from Fabrications to develop more adequate and reliable standard work.
