Job summary

JOST International is seeking a Paint Line Painter Tier 1 in Greeneville, TN. Reports to Paint Line Supervisor and is responsible for loading/unloading parts, starting and stopping the paint line, and assisting with titrations and chemical adjustments.

You will perform preventive maintenance, powder painting, inspect final painted parts, and work with the team to maintain safety, quality, and efficiency. Experience with industrial powder or E-Coat is a plus; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and

Qualifications

• Operate overhead air hoist and drive forklift.
• Organizational and communication skills.
• Chemical handling experience a plus.
• Industrial powder or E-Coat experience desired.
• General preventive maintenance and troubleshooting ability.
• Basic math for measurements and calculations.
• Willingness to learn company products and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Loading/Unloading parts to conveyor and performing loading duties.
• Perform preventive maintenance on paint line systems.
• Titrations and chemical adjustments in washer and wastewater system.
• Powder painting including hand spraying in Faraday areas.
• Startup and shutdown of Paint System.
• Inspect final painted parts for quality.
• Assist with duties as assigned and related to the role.

INTRODUCTION: This position reports to Paint Line Supervisor. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.

Paint Line Painter Tier 1 - loads and unloads the paint line and powder painting during break times. Assists Paint Line Technician in titrations and adjust chemicals in the washer and wastewater system. Preventive maintenance of the paint line systems.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Include, but are not limited to:

• Loading/Unloading various parts to conveyor.
• Preventive maintenance.
• Titrations and chemical adjustments of the washer and wastewater system
• Powder painting to include hand spraying faraday areas.
• Startup/Shutdown Paint System.
• Inspection of final painted parts.
• Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.

REQUIREMENTS

• Operate overhead air hoist and drive forklift.
• Organizational skills a plus.
• Good communication skills and able to work as a team.
• Chemical experience a plus.
• Industrial powder or E-Coat Experience desired.
• General preventive maintenance a plus and the ability to troubleshoot.
• Basic Math.
• Ability to gain knowledge of company products. Comply with quality, environmental, safety and JOST company policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Work is generally performed in a production plant 100% of time
