Job summary

GH Metal Solutions in Fort Payne, AL is seeking a Paint Line Operator to support our powder coating line and drive continuous improvement in production processes. You will read SOPs, prepare parts, and help ensure on-time delivery while maintaining quality and safety standards.

In this role you will perform quality checks, document production records, monitor line density and hanging methods, help train teammates, and operate forklifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a powder coating environment is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and handle priorities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Solid verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of blueprints and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow SOPs for each task on the line.
• Complete production records and quality checks in a clear, accurate manner.
• Perform quality checks on material at required intervals to meet specs.
• Monitor loading/unloading, line density, and hanging methods.
• Help train teammates on procedures and equipment use.
• Collaborate with quality staff to ensure product meets specs.
• Operate forklifts and burn off painted racks/hardware when required.
• Meet production standards and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Perform other duties or functions as requested by management.
