Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. in Beaver Dam, WI is seeking a production helper to support operations and processing on the shop floor.

You will assist machine operators by positioning and moving light or heavy materials, preparing surfaces, and helping with routine tasks to keep lines flowing. No advanced experience required; a high school diploma or GED is preferred and basic computer use may be involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively communicate with other employees.

Responsibilities

• Loads and moves materials to work area.
• Packages parts with protective material for shipments per setup or Engineering remarks.
• Applies masking to articles.
• Cleans and prepares surface of articles to be painted.
• May operate SST-E-coat system load control panel.
• Racks work pieces on conveyor; inspects, and transfers finished pieces into or out of department.
• Performs other routine duties.
• Perform basic functions on a computer database.
• May perform inventory transactions.
• Cleans work area.
