Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a production helper to support machine operators. You will load and move materials to work areas, package parts for shipment, apply masking, and help prepare surfaces for painting.

The role involves basic data entry and operating a coating control panel as needed. Working on site in a supervised setting, you will keep the work area clean, assist with inventory tasks, and help transfer finished pieces through the line.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; minimal related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and memos.
  • Effective communication with coworkers in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Loads and moves materials to work area.
  • Package parts with protective material for shipments per setup or Engineering remarks.
  • Applies masking to articles.
  • Cleans and prepares surface of articles to be painted.
  • May operate SST-E-coat system load control panel.
  • Racks work pieces on conveyor; inspects, and transfers finished pieces into or out of department.
  • May perform inventory transactions.
  • Cleans work area.
  • Performs other routine duties.
  • Performs basic functions on a computer database.

SUMMARY

Perform helper's work having to do with production operations and processing such as positioning light or heavy weight materials on conveyor or feed mechanism for continuous processing, or positioning and/or removing materials to assist Machine Operator, supplying containers, light or heavy raw materials, or performing other like work. Under close supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Applies masking to articles.
  • Cleans and prepares surface of articles to be painted.
  • May operate SST-E-coat system load control panel.

  • Cleans work area.
  • Performs other routine duties.
  • Performs basic functions on a computer database.

Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training is preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate with other employees.
