Job summary

Hadrian needs a Paint Engineer to own the end-to-end industrialization of the coating line in Los Angeles, from prep to cure and specialty coatings. You will lead safety compliance, equipment specs, vendor selection, and build a cross-functional team for launch.

On-site role spanning design through production, with a focus on autonomous manufacturing of high-value components. You will define process windows, validate procedures, and ensure post-launch handover to production, while solving yield

Qualifications

• Hands-on aerospace/defense MRO coatings experience with MIL-SPEC/CARC and AMS-spec coatings.
• Proven experience applying NFPA 33/86/70/30/409 and OSHA 1910 in paint operations.
• Experience writing equipment specifications and managing vendor selection.
• Demonstrated ability to stand up teams via train-the-trainer programs.
• Comfortable working on the shop floor with equipment engineering and inspection activities.

Responsibilities

• Own facility fire and life-safety compliance for the coating line under NFPA standards and coordinate AHJ interactions.
• Lead specification, RFQ/evaluation, and site/factory acceptance testing for coating, cure, ventilation, and fire-suppression equipment; make build-vs-buy calls.
• Define process windows, qualify equipment, and write work instructions across prep, blasting, wet paint, powder, cure, and coatings steps.
• Assemble and train the coating line’s support team; define training and certification matrix; enable production and maintenance to own the line post-launch.
• Address yield and throughput issues during maturation and formally hand the line to production.
