A leading company in the automotive industry is seeking an experienced painter to join their team in Fort Wayne. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and spray painting parts while maintaining safety standards and equipment. This full-time position requires attention to detail and the ability to work safely in a potentially hazardous environment.
Qualifications:
HS diploma or general education degree (GED). One year of related experience in an Industrial or Autobody environment.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute ratio.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; use both feet to operate forklift pedals; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to keep up with pace of paint conveyor system. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Must pass spirometry and receive medical approval to wear PPAR respirator for full shift” to the Physical Demands.
