What You’ll Do
  • Comply and ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations.
  • Assess equipment, materials and labor needed to complete large and/or complex preparation and painting activities to ensure maintenance activities meet district standards and resolve defined issues while reducing wasted resources.
  • Assist in the selection of training and in‑service programs for maintenance staff to ensure they gain and maintain a thorough understanding of safety regulations and provide guidance on department procedures.
  • Collaborate with others (managers, contractors, vendors, etc.) to implement and maintain services.
  • Direct assigned painting staff in resolving complex and/or difficult preparation and painting projects.
  • Maintain a variety of manual and electronic files and/or records to provide up‑to‑date reference and comply with regulatory requirements and established guidelines.
  • Maintain assigned tools, supplies, equipment, and vehicle(s) to ensure their availability for assigned maintenance objectives.
  • Prepare a variety of program‑mandated documents and reports (e.g. work orders) to document activities and comply with company and/or legal requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
  • Provide training to personnel as required.
  • Perform a wide variety (and sometimes complex) preparation and painting activities to ensure maintenance issues are resolved and projects are completed safely, effectively, and timely.
What You’ll Need
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED; preferred
  • Experience: 4+ Years' Experience in Commercial/Industrial Painting; Minimum of 2 Years' Supervisor Experience
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office
  • Certification/Licenses: None specifically required
