Job summary

CTC is seeking a Paint Engineer to lead the development, evaluation, and implementation of new paint materials, colors, and technologies within a manufacturing environment. The selected candidate will head material trials, color launches, paint process improvements, and cross-functional projects to support production readiness.

The role requires hands-on experience in automotive paint shop operations, strong knowledge of topcoat systems, and track record in production launches and color

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience in automotive paint shop operations or automotive manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of paint application processes, especially topcoat systems.
  • Experience with production launches, scale-up activities, or change management.
  • 2+ years of color and appearance evaluation experience.
  • 1+ year of paint design experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, evaluation, and implementation of new paint materials and color launches.
  • Manage paint material trials and production-scale implementation activities.
  • Support transition of materials from laboratory development into mass production.
  • Conduct paint application evaluations, testing, and process validation.
  • Establish process controls and operating parameters for new materials and technologies.
  • Drive problem-solving activities related to paint materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate with multiple teams to ensure successful project execution and production readiness.
