Job summary

EK is hiring for a position in the batch paint department in Wisconsin. The role involves loading and unloading parts onto the paint line, masking parts, packaging finished products, and handling materials. You will assist the Paint Line Supervisor and support other departments when needed, using a visual system to add new jobs.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED. Forklift experience is preferred.

Job description

This position supports our batch paint department with preparation of parts, handing parts on the paint line, packaging finished products, and material handling.

Summary

Assists the paint department by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Loads and unloads parts onto the paint line per instructions on paint line monitor. Uses lifting devices when needed.
  • Masks parts per instructions on the monitor.
  • Packages parts properly for safe shipment to the customer and counts parts accurately while packaging.
  • Completes paperwork as required, quality sign off sheets as well as signing of the job travelers.
  • Cleans and organizes work area.
  • Assists the Paint Line Supervisor or Leadsperson with any other duties as required.
  • Helps other department employees as needed when the line has stopped.
  • Able use visual system and add new jobs as needed.

Education And/Or Experience

High School Diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior forklift experience is preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos, as well as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
