Job summary

Sherwin-Williams Co. is seeking a delivery driver to transport products from Sherwin-Williams stores to customers in the Kansas City area. You will load, secure, and deliver orders using box and flat-bed trucks, while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, DOT MEC or the ability to obtain one within five business days, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. English proficiency is required; Spanish skills are a plus and may be advantageous in

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
• Must have a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) from a DOT-licensed medical examiner or be willing to obtain one within five business days of conditional offer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
• Willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Must read and speak English sufficiently for customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deliveries are prepared to meet customer requirements in the most efficient manner.
• Load customer orders properly on the truck.
• Ensure appropriate forms are completed.
• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers in a safe, timely manner.
• Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repair needs.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints from customers.
• Adhere to assigned routes and time schedules.
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
• Operate equipment such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
• Perform other tasks in the store, including warehouse duties, tinting, and mixing customer orders.
