Job summary

Dunn-Edwards in Scottsdale is seeking a Store Color Technician to tint and mix paint to customer specifications, ensuring the exact color matches and timely processing of orders. You will work closely with the team to deliver excellent customer service and maintain store appearance.

Requires high school or GED, color acuity, ability to compute measures, and a valid driver’s license. Certification within 90 days is expected; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must distinguish colors in the visible spectrum and pass the FM color acuity quiz.
• With training, can color match with or without technology.
• Careful to avoid mis-tinting of paint.
• Reclaims marked down paint when applicable.
• Ability to compute various units of measure.
• Operate production area equipment properly.
• Prioritize and expedite orders promptly.
• Maintain basic housekeeping of the production area.
• Write and process forms and transactions.
• Perform duties as assigned by management.
• Participate in store maintenance and overall appearance.
• Assist with stocking and inventory levels.
• Ensure work areas are safe and report hazards.
• Able to drive company vehicle for company business.
• Must wear respirator where required at Industrial Tint Center locations.

Responsibilities

• Distinguish colors and pass color acuity assessment.
• Perform color matching with or without technology after training.
• Avoid mis-tinting and handle paints with care.
• Reclaim marked down paint when applicable.
• Compute rate, ratio, and measurements as needed.
• Run all production area equipment safely.
• Prioritize and expedite orders in a timely fashion.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in production and store areas.
• Write and process necessary forms and transactions.
• Fulfill duties as assigned by management.
• Support store maintenance and overall appearance.
• Assist with stocking and inventory control.
• Keep work areas safe and report hazards to management.
• Drive company vehicle as required.
• Comply with respirator requirements where applicable.
