Job summary

GEOTEK LLC in Stewartville, MN is seeking a Paint Booth Operator to manage painting, sanding, and prep within the pultrusion/paint area. You will ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on the production floor during nights and weekend shifts.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to read and write English, and teamwork. You may work in Pultrusion or packaging areas during slower times, and must report chemical usage accurately. Compensation ranges by level from $21.25 to $26.50 per hour.

• Paint repaints on product from Pultrusion department.

• Improve Paint Booth area processes for efficiency.
• Support inventory and EPA emissions reporting timely.

Job description

Brief Description

The Paint Booth Operator is responsible for all beams and processes associated with repaints to include, but not limited to sanding, prepping, and painting. This person will be accountable for the safety, quality, and efficiency of the Paint Booth operations. Will also help in any other area of the plant as needed.
Shift:
Nights | Monday – Thursday | 5:00p - 3:30a
Weekend Days| Friday - Sunday | 5:00a - 5:30p

Duties and responsibilities

• Painting re-paint product from Pultrusion department
• Responsible for properly recording chemical usage
• Responsible for painting product according to Geotek standards of quality
• During slow times in paint booth area, or during drying time of painted material, this person will work in Pultrusion/Secondary/Packaging/Shipping areas as required
• Responsible for Paint Booth area process improvement and efficiency
• Will support Inventory and EPA emissions reporting by timely reporting all chemical usages

Compensation

• Level 1: $21.25
• Level 2: $21.25 - $23.50
• Level 3: $23.50 - $25.00
• Level 4: $25.00 - $26.50

Physical Work Conditions

• The position is located on the production floor, standing for up to 12 hours a day
• Work with or around power tools, loud equipment, and chemicals
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
