Job summary

GEOTEK LLC in Stewartville, MN, is hiring for a production technician responsible for chemical handling, coating, and MVP system monitoring on a multi-shift schedule (days, nights, weekends).

You will follow work instructions, operate overhead cranes, prepare chemicals, and document required paperwork, with a pay scale based on skill level from Level 1 to Level 4 and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and ability to read/write English.
• Able to measure in grams/kilos.
• Experience with chemical mixing or coating preferred.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Safety, quality and productivity focused.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor chemical levels and MVP system inventory.
• Operate HMI controls and veil applications and coating.
• Handle and prepare chemicals for operations.
• Follow work instructions and procedures.
• Assist in Filament Winding and other production areas.
• Provide support in repaints for repairs.
• Identify problems and report issues to team leaders.
• Use overhead cranes to move products and parts.
• Document and submit required paperwork.

• $2.00/hour shift differential

• Weekend Nights | Friday-Sunday | 6:00PM-6:30AM
• $3.00/hour shift differential
• $5,000 sign-on bonus

Compensation:

GEOTEK's compensation model is skill-based, and starting pay levels are determined by previous experience and transferable skills. The range for this position breaks down as follows:

• Level 1: $22.50
• Level 2: $23.18 - $24.50
• Level 3: $25.50 - $26.50
• Level 4: $27.30 - $28.50

Hiring manager will determine pay level based off experience, skillset, and knowledge.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Monitors all chemical levels & Inventory for MVP systems.
• HMI controls.
• Veil applications and coating.
• Responsible for all chemical handling & preparing chemicals for operations.
• Follows work instructions & procedures.
• Assists in all areas of Filament Winding, and other plant areas as production demands.
• Provides support in repaints for repairs.
• Identifies problems and reports issues to team leaders.
• Using Over Head Cranes to move products and parts.
• Documenting and Submitting of all required paperwork.

Job Requirements

• Work while paying attention to detail

• Previous chemical mixing or coating experience (preferred).
• Able to work with minimal Supervision.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and problem-solving skills are essential.

Physical Work Conditions

• The position is located on the production floor, standing for up to 10 hours a day.
• Work with or around power tools and chemicals.
• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally.
