Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking an Assembly role focused on painting duties within Dept 131. The candidate will read blueprints, follow process specs, and operate hoists, forklifts, and spray equipment while maintaining safety and quality.

Must perform repetitive tasks with accuracy, handle tools, and work well in a team. Ability to stand for long periods and tolerate high heat is required, with respirator usage during extended periods.

Qualifications

Job description

The position of Assembly will be responsible for fulfilling painting duties required within Dept 131.

Essential qualifications for this position include:

• Must have basic math skills – adding/subtracting/angles/fractions/etc.
• Ability to read and follow process specifications, work instructions, blueprints, and verbal instruction.
• Ability to work on feet most of the day.
• Must have the ability to perform repetitive tasks with hands, wrists, and arms
• Mechanical ability to use hand tools
• Ability to safely operate a hoist
• Move and position heavy objects with hoist
• Ability to work safely from an elevated position
• Ability to operate hand truck and/or forklift
• Use hand tools and power tools as required.
• Must be able to perform at routed rate
• Must have great attention to detail
• Must be able to work in a group setting
• Ability to use and comprehend inspection tools
• Ability to work with high heat
• Must keep work area organized, clean and safe
• Perform general maintenance on spray guns and paint kettles.
• Must pass respirator exam and wear respirator for extended periods.
• Must not have facial hair.
• Familiarity with painting processes.
