Job summary

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC is seeking a Pain Psychologist to support the Margaret Cochran Corbin VA Campus in New York and Brooklyn VA Medical Center. Typical schedule is Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with possible schedule changes at the direction of Ansible or its customers.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing evidence-based treatment plans, and delivering CBT-CP, ACT, mindfulness, and other therapies; participation in interdisciplinary teams and telehealth

Qualifications

• Current, full, and unrestricted license in any U.S. state, territory, or Washington, DC.
• No history of restricted, suspended, revoked, or denied licensure.
• Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
• Degree from an APA- or CPA-accredited program.
• Completion of an APA- or CPA-accredited pre-doctoral internship.
• Active AHA BLS Certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a professional psychologist.
• Experience providing behavioral health interventions for chronic pain.
• Experience in health psychology or chronic pain management strongly desired.
• No sponsorship available.

• Deliver therapies including CBT-CP, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, Biofeedback, Mindfulness, Psychoeducation.
• Conduct individual psychotherapy, group therapy, and family/caregiver counseling; perform psychological testing.
• Provide telehealth services using VA-approved platforms.
• Participate in interdisciplinary pain management treatment planning.
• Educate patients and families on chronic pain management.
• Maintain patient documentation in CPRS/VistA; participate in team conferences and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for patients with chronic pain.

  • Substance use disorders
  • Emotional and cognitive issues
• Deliver evidence-based therapies including:
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Chronic Pain (CBT-CP)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Biofeedback
  • Mindfulness interventions
  • Psychoeducation
• Conduct individual psychotherapy, group therapy, family/caregiver counseling, and psychological testing.
• Provide telehealth services using VA-approved platforms.
• Participate in interdisciplinary pain management treatment planning.
• Educate patients and families regarding chronic pain management.
• Maintain patient documentation and treatment plans in CPRS/VistA.
• Participate in Pain Team conferences, rounds, discharge planning meetings, clinics, and departmental meetings.
• Document evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and patient education.
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare providers.
• Support department operations and quality improvement initiatives.
• Complete mandatory VA training and compliance activities.
