Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL, seeks a procedural support assistant to join the Pain Medicine team. You will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, assisting with delegated patient care tasks and preparing procedural rooms and equipment.

You will support a range of procedures, maintain sterile fields, coordinate patient flow, and communicate clearly with the care team. The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year in patient care, and flexibility to adapt

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of patient care experience required.
• Experience as desk operations, nursing assistant, patient care assistant, or LPN is possible.
• Proficient with Windows-based applications and intranet/internet use.
• Able to communicate clearly, multitask, and stay calm under pressure.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing workloads.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) competency.
• Additional specialty certifications as required by the work area.

Responsibilities

• Receives direction from Nurse Manager, Physician, Team Lead and Registered Nurses.
• Assists with delegated tasks of patient care under supervision of RN/physician.
• Prepares and handles pain medicine procedural equipment and room turnover.
• Supports diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic procedures in the Pain Medicine setting.
