Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Charleston, SC is seeking a Physician - Pain Medicine with expertise in interventional procedures to provide veteran care.

You will perform SCS trials and permanent implants, lead pain management services, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while adhering to VHA standards. Strong board certification in Pain Medicine and fellowship experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MD/DO degree from an approved school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pain Medicine fellowship.
• Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the US.
• Board certification in Pain Medicine is preferred or required.
• Residency in an approved core specialty program leading to eligibility for board certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to Veterans with acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Perform and supervise interventional pain procedures including SCS trials and permanent implantation.
• Lead multidisciplinary pain management teams and collaborate with related specialties.
• Develop and evaluate section policies, procedures and quality assurance programs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and participate in teaching of trainees.
