Job summary

Mountain View Pain Center is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support a multidisciplinary team in a Denver clinic. You will room patients, collect vital signs, and help with prescriptions and injections under provider supervision.

The role requires accurate charting and adherence to pain management protocols. Ideal candidates may hold a Medical Assistant certification, have BLS and ACLS certifications, and access to reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Completion of Medical Assistant certification program preferred but not required.
• Current BLS certification required (hybrid if not in-person).
• Current ACLS certification required.
• Access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients and prepares charts as directed.
• Records vital signs and clinical information accurately.
• Assists with prescriptions, work restrictions, and entry of services.
• Administers injections under supervision and documents in system.
• Interacts with providers to obtain or send patient records as needed.

Position Summary

Our Pain Medical Assistants perform administrative and clinical duties under the direction of the Practice Manager and Attending Physician/Advanced Practice Provider. Responsible for assisting all clinical providers as needed in the clinical setting while adhering to all pain management policies and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Rooms all patients according to the specifications of the clinic and provider
• Prepares charts for all clinical patients
• Performs in-take of all required patient vital signs and clinical information with proper documentation
• Assists with prescriptions, work restrictions, and services ordered entry as required by provider
• Performs set up and administers injections under provider supervision
• Enters all required information into the system according to Pain Management protocol
• Collects, packages and documents all UDS’s as requested from provider and according to regulation
• Completes Checklists and related paperwork as required for Blood Thinners, Procedures and RFAs
• Cleans and stocks assigned exam rooms
• Adheres to proper universal precautions when required in the clinical setting
• Responsible for reviewing and adhering to company practices and clinical policies and procedures
• Additional duties as requested according to position scope of practice
• Make appointment reminder calls to patients for the following workday
• Complete given checklist of tasks to prepare for the following workday
• Regularly check voicemails throughout the day and return calls as needed
• Interact with other clinics/providers to obtain patient records when needed or to send records to other clinicians

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Completion of the Medical Assistant certification program preferred but not required
• Current BLS certification required, class must have been at least hybrid if not completely in person
• Current ACLS certification required
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Access to a reliable vehicle

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.00

Work Location: Lowry Clinic / Central Denver, 100% onsite, in person

Hours

Monday-Thursday: 7/:45AM to 12:00PM, 2:00PM to 6:00PM

Fridays: 7:45AM - 1:00PM
