Job summary

Owensboro Health in Henderson, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Pain Management Henderson department. This full-time position supports weekend requirements and is 0.9 FTE (72 hours per pay period).

You will implement and monitor patient care plans, coordinate care across disciplines, and educate patients and families, following the Nurse Practice Act and state licensure rules.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in Kentucky required upon hire.
• BLS certification required within 45 days of employment.
• Associate degree or higher in nursing required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn.
• Performs job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
