Job summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 7 Practitioner Psychologist for the Enfield Pain Service. The role focuses on specialist psychological assessment and delivering CBT/ACT/CFT interventions for patients with chronic pain within a multidisciplinary team.

You will lead 1:1 and group interventions, contribute to service evaluation, and supervise an assistant psychologist, integrating care with Talking Therapies and MSK services as needed.

Qualifications

• Provides specialist psychological assessment.
• Delivers 1:1 psychological interventions based on CBT, ACT and/or CFT.
• Co-facilitates group pain management programmes (PMPs).
• Contributes to outcome data collection and service improvement projects.
• Offers clinical consultation on patients’ psychological care to colleagues.
• Utilises research skills for audit and research purposes.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessment.
• Provide specialist 1:1 psychological interventions based on CBT, ACT and/or CFT.
• Co-facilitate group pain management programmes (PMPs) and contribute to PMP development.
• Contribute to the collection and analysis of outcome data of both individual and group interventions.
• Offer advice and consultation on patients’ psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other carers.
• Utilise research skills for audit and research purposes.
