Job summary

clearway is seeking a Medical Doctor specialized in pain management to evaluate, diagnose and manage patient pain issues in line with the standard of care. You will use multimodal strategies including medications, interventional procedures, physical therapy, and appropriate bracing when needed.

You will interpret tests, explain results and treatment goals to patients while maintaining confidentiality and complying with health privacy laws.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain current licensure as a medical doctor in the state in which services are performed.
• Must possess and maintain a current DEA license.
• May be required to possess a current ACLS and BLS certification, depending on regional requirements.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, including exceptional customer service.
• Must have a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
• Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with doctors, clinical staff, other co-workers and the public.
• Must be able to work individually as well as within a team.
• Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Must be able to respond with patience and understanding during stressful conditions related to patient health and emergent situations.
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, diagnoses and manages patient pain issues in accordance with standard of care.
• Utilizes a multimodal approach including medications, interventional management, physical therapy and bracing when appropriate.
• Explains procedures and treatment goals to patients.
• Interprets medical tests in the context of patient care and explains results to patients.
• Completes administrative tasks in a timely manner.
• Monitors patient compliance to treatment plans and safety protocols.
• Liaises with other medical professionals related to patient care.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with health information privacy laws.
• Records complete, timely and legible medical records.
• Collaborates with administrative team to optimize clinic functionality.
• Mentors/trains new medical staff as needed.
