Qualifications

• Must have CA PA license in good standing.
• Graduate from an approved Physician Assistant program.
• Active DEA license without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and maintains patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.
• Work under the direction of a fellowship-trained pain physician.
• Consider and work toward a long-term plan for each patient while addressing immediate needs.
• Interview and examine patients; review outside studies and medical histories.
• Treat a wide variety of patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and pain disorders.
• Perform trigger point, joint, nerve, and soft tissue injections.
• Read X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging.
• Document patient care services on the day of service.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing publications.
