Job summary

You will evaluate and manage acute and chronic pain while collaborating with pain physicians and staff to deliver high-quality care. The role requires state licensure, national certification, BLS/CPR, EMR proficiency, and the ability to develop and monitor treatment plans including interventional and non-interventional therapies.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program.
• Current national certification as NP or PA-C.
• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license in practicing state.
• BLS/CPR certification (ACLS preferred).
• Experience with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems.
• Knowledge of pain management medications and opioid stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed pain-focused evaluations, including medical history and exams.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pain conditions per protocols.
• Develop, implement and monitor individualized treatment plans including therapies.
• Order, review, and interpret imaging and labs related to pain management.
• Prescribe medications in line with state regulations and guidelines.
• Provide pre/post-procedure evaluations and patient education.
• Document encounters accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Educate patients and families on pain conditions, treatments, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to coordinate care.
• Adhere to compliance standards, quality measures, and infection control.
