Job summary

ECPC - Pain Specialists in Charlotte and surrounding clinics seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (MA) for PRN floater duties in an outpatient pain management setting. You will support physicians before, during, and after visits, prepare exam rooms, perform vitals, assist with procedures, and document in the EMR.

The role requires current CMA/RMA/NCMA certification preferred, BLS, and EMR experience (eClinicalWorks preferred).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Current CMA, RMA, NCMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• EMR experience (eClinicalWorks preferred).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination and procedure rooms.
• Escort patients and verify identity using two identifiers.
• Obtain and document vital signs, height, weight, pain score, allergies, and medical history.
• Assist providers during examinations and office procedures.
• Prepare sterile supplies and equipment and assist with patient positioning.
• Perform EKGs and CLIA-waived testing when trained and authorized.
• Apply dressings and remove sutures/staples when ordered.
