Job summary

ECAA is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to provide clinical support in an interventional pain management setting at our Charlotte, NC Midtown Clinic. You will assist providers, perform patient care, and help maintain clinic efficiency.

Ideal candidates have MA certification, strong communication, and experience with EHR systems like eClinicalWorks. HIPAA/OSHA compliance is required, with standard 8am-5pm hours and flexibility.

Qualifications

• MA Certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
• Experience in pain management, orthopedics, or similar specialty preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-based environment.
• Proficiency with EHR systems (eClinicalWorks experience a plus).

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient assessments, procedures, and treatments.
• Perform vital signs, medication reconciliation, and patient intake documentation.
• Prepare procedure rooms, ensure sterilization, and assist during interventional pain procedures.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure care.
• Administer medications and injections as allowed by licensure and protocols.
• Ensure HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control compliance.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR system (eClinicalWorks preferred).
• Support clinical workflow by managing patient triage, scheduling, and follow-ups.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff for seamless care.
