Job summary

Southern Illinois Healthcare in Carbondale, IL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support physicians and caregivers in an ambulatory Pain Management Clinic. You will room patients, document vital information in the EMR, and assist with patient care.

Requirements include a high school diploma, current BLS (AHA preferred), and about 1 year of clinical office experience. Compensation ranges from $18.28 to $27.42 per hour, with full-time daytime hours and benefits described in our guide.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification; BLS from American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
• 1 year of clinical office experience preferred; ability to perform manual blood pressure required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate quality communication skills between the care team, outside agencies, patients, and their families through written, verbal, observation, and empathy skills.
• Rooms the patient and documents required and updated clinical information in the EMR following policy and procedures for process.
• Demonstrates completed competency for accurate and appropriate documentation in the EMR and patient care following scope of clinical role outlined in policy.
• Follows office procedures to monitor expiration dates and storage conditions of medications and supplies.
