Job summary
Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC in Boston, MA is seeking a Clinical Development Associate Medical Director- Pain to lead trial medical strategy and safety oversight. You will serve as the internal Medical Monitor, ensuring scientific integrity of studies and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams on protocol development and regulatory submissions.
Ideal candidates have MD/DO or equivalent, extensive clinical research experience, and familiarity with GCP and regulatory processes.
Qualifications
- MD/DO or equivalent medical degree with clinical or translational research background.
- Experience supporting regulatory submissions and study protocols.
- Familiarity with GCP, study design, and clinical reporting.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Medical Lead for trials, guiding strategy, design and reporting.
- Act as internal Medical Monitor, overseeing subject safety and scientific integrity.
- Participate in protocol development, IBC/IND safety reports and regulatory documents.
- Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Development teams across Vertex.
- Represent Vertex in external communications and protocol development.
